I am exhausted and my house is a disaster (well the project areas) So this is what I get for trying to jam a 4 week class into a weekend and 3 days lol! But, the end result was a awesome mini book that I will cherish forever. This was a class called Scrap booking: It Matters by Lisa Damrosch of Big Picture Scrapbooking. Each divider has a section with" Who, Why, What, When" -that I scrapbook. I love how it turned out :) But, i'll tell ya...its pretty thick with all the embellishments (lol) but I wouldn't change it any other way :)
So, I wanted to make sure that I gave Lisa some credit for some of the ideas and titles that I had scrap lifted ( tried to make it my own as much as I could w/out it being exactly the same as hers, but you know what I mean!). Its so funny though, her thoughts about scrapbooking are pretty much the same. Then again, most of us scrappy chicks feel the same way, right?! :) The photos however are all mine, taken by me. Thank you Lisa, for inspiring me and coming up with this awesome little project and class (and your advice!!)!
Ok, there's alot of pics so I'm going to stop talking(er, typing). If anyone has questions- please leave me a comment. Remember, click on the photo to view it larger. Enjoy!
the cover.
the intro page.
why i scrap/why divider-section
Who section
i just love the family tree! i can't believe i came up with that! lol
I used the sewing machine(1st time!) around my friends' pics to attach to the patterned paper- cool right? lol
sewing mach. again- went alittle nuts, but hey it was my 1st time going in circles..trying to embrace the imperfections! lol
What section (transparency divider with paint and stamps)
When section
this looks like the end, but um, i forgot to put in the last part! oops! But it's all good now :) See below for the last section.
Where section (again with a transparency divider)
ok so this one, i intentionally left the inside blank for a reason--i will be adding a pic from CKC- Tulsa that I will be attending next month with my BFF, Angie (YAY!!!). SO very excited about that...then I get to come home and have 2-3 days before I actually MOVE back to OR. Yeah I know, i have seriously lost it. ;0)
The end :)
Alright, i'm going to go get me some lunch, and a nap before my workout...and then i'm going to go CLEAN up the mess I made! :) Hope you liked this mini...I might blog later tell to tell you some of the things I used, etc. But for now, gotta go!

Lacey...it came out FABULOUS!! I am so glad that you finished...and that you love it. Yipee!!!

Wow - this is just stunning! I didn't take this class but have been enjoying some of the other classes - LOM, Bakers Dozen and now Have More FUN plus Write Now!
I'd love to know more about this class you did --- design, products, those stamps look great --- pretty much everything. Did you find you were constantly buying new product to fulfill this mini album. All the stuff you used is gorgeous and the way it is all laid out, I don't think I could ever come up with something like this, as much as I would love to do a similar project. How structured was the class? did you take PP1 by Lisa, I am considering PP2 so would love to know what you did in PP1? Lacey - sorry for the "twenty questions", love to hear from you if you get the chance. My username over at BPS is CaraJo!
Thanks for sharing!
It's stunning!

WOW. You should be exhausted and your "project areas" should be trashed!! What an accomplishment. Projects like this (for me) become so-called "stakes in the ground" that keep me committed and secure in my perspectives -- I'm so proud of you!!

Wow! I came across your blog from a link on the Scrapper's Edge website, and I have to say...what a treat!
Your book is AMAZING, seriously! This looks like something I would see in Creating Keepsakes-but better!
